This set of upcycled denim coasters leans into playful geometry and abstract patchwork. Denim scraps are arranged in a looser, more expressive layout that creates movement and visual rhythm across the surface. The mix of tones and textures gives each coaster a lively, modern feel while staying grounded in sturdy material. The result is a set that adds interest to the table without feeling busy.

These coasters are designed to protect surfaces during everyday use, from morning coffee to evening drinks. Used as a full set or mixed with other table textiles, they add colour and texture to coffee tables, desks, and dining spaces. Durable and easy to care for, they’re made to be used often without fuss.

Description

Every set of denim patchwork coasters is made with a machine-pieced patchwork top, a layer of batting, and a backing fabric. The layers are hand quilted together to create a durable, tactile surface suitable for everyday use.

All my pieces are one of a kind. I work exclusively with second-hand fabrics, which means I never know exactly what materials I’ll find from month to month. This results in unexpected fabrics, colours, compositions, and moods, with each piece developing its own character.

I design my work with longevity in mind. These pieces are made to be used regularly and cared for over time rather than replaced. If needed, they can be mended or repaired, and each piece comes with a small selection of fabric scraps from its making, along with detailed care instructions, to support future maintenance.
