How to care for quilted home décor/quilts/quilted clothing

  1. Regular maintenance is key to keeping your quilted item clean and fresh. Begin by gently shaking or airing out your item to remove any surface dust or debris. For spot cleaning, use a mild detergent and a soft-bristled brush to gently dab at stains, taking care not to rub or scrub vigorously, which could damage the fabric.
  2. Quilts and quilted clothing should be hand washed. Soak the quilt/piece of clothing in a tub or bucket with ph neutral/mild soap for 15-30 min, gently agitate the item. Rinse, don`t wring (squeeze the excess water out). Dry flat out of direct sunlight.
  3. Other home décor items like pillows, coasters, and placemats can be washed in a washing machine on gentle cycle/30 degrees or below.
  4. All the quilted items can be pressed/ironed on a medium heat. Always use a piece of cloth between the iron and the item.
