What should I consider when purchasing a naturally dyed item?

Natural dyes often produce softer, more muted hues compared to synthetic dyes. Embrace the unique variations and imperfections that are characteristic of natural dyeing, as they add to the item’s beauty and authenticity.

Our naturally dyed items are all per-treated, cured, and rinsed to enhance light and color fastness and prevent color from rubbing off. However, naturally dyed fabric will still fade faster and might transfer some color. If the instructions provided on our here: care guide, and the care instructions included in your order are followed, your naturally dyed item will have a long and colorful life.

 

What should I consider when purchasing a hand stitched item?

Hand stitching looks gorgeous and makes a strong impression when used for quilting. It is important to not wring or twist hand stitched items as this might break the thread. Please follow the care guide in addition to the specific care instructions provided with your order.

 

How do I care for my quilt?

Quilts can last lifetimes if cared for and maintained properly. Every order you place with us comes with care instructions specifically for your item in addition to scrap fabric left over from making your item. You can use the scraps to patch and repair your quilted item, one of the best thing about patchwork and quilting: repairs add to the charm and history of the item.
