All my pieces are one of a kind. I work exclusively with second-hand fabrics, which means I never know exactly what materials I’ll find from month to month. This results in unexpected fabrics, colours, compositions, and moods, with each piece developing its own character.

Available in a delightful yellow color option, this plant dyed patchwork zipper pouch is crafted using second-hand fabrics and scraps, naturally dyed with food waste.

Each pouch is made with a pieced outer layer, a lining, and a thin layer of batting to give it structure and softness. The pieces are hand quilted for durability and finished with a zipper closure.

I design my work with longevity in mind. These pieces are made to be durable, to be used, and to be cared for over time rather than replaced. If needed, they can be mended or repaired, and each piece comes with detailed care instructions to support future maintenance.

NATURALLY DYED COLOUR NOTES

All of my naturally dyed items are mordanted and tanned for the best colour fastness, but plant-dyed fabrics are inherently less colour- and light-fast than their chemically dyed counterparts. The luminous quality of these colours (and their gradual evolution over time) is part of what makes naturally dyed textiles unique. Any subtle fading that may occur does not compromise the integrity of the piece and should be seen as a natural continuation of its life.

To help preserve colour intensity, keep naturally dyed items out of direct sunlight. If cleaning is required, hand wash gently in cool water using a mild detergent, then air dry.
