All my pieces are one of a kind. I work exclusively with second-hand fabrics, which means I never know exactly what materials I’ll find from month to month. This results in unexpected fabrics, colours, compositions, and moods, with each piece developing its own character. Each quilted patchwork wall hanging is made with a machine pieced patchwork top, thin batting, and a backing fabric. The layers are hand quilted together, and a fabric sleeve is added to the back so the piece can be hung using a dowel or similar support. The dowel is not included. I design my work with longevity in mind. These pieces are made to be durable, to be used, and to be cared for over time rather than replaced. If needed, they can be mended or repaired, and each piece comes with a small selection of fabric scraps from its making, along with detailed care instructions, to support future maintenance.
